Directed Account Plan MRD – Minimum Required Distributions (2014)
Important information for DAP participants taking monthly distributions who are over age 70 1/2 and are required to take an annual MRD. Your last Periodic Payment for 2014 will be distributed on December 15th. If your Periodic Payments from January to December of 2014 were less than the calculated MRD amount, then Great-West will process the supplemental distribution no later than December 19thto meet your MRD. Your funds will be sent the same way it was sent last year. If you have ACH information on file (this was transferred in the conversion), then it will be sent ACH. If not, then it will be sent by regular mail.
For those participants over age 70 ½ who are not receiving installment payments, and have not taken a distribution in 2014, the amount of your full 2014 Required Minimum Distribution will be sent to you no later than December 19th to ensure compliance with IRS regulations. You may request your 2014 distribution up until December 10th or request paperwork to set up installment payments to start in 2015 at any time by calling 800-338-4015.
Since the Directed Account Plan converted to a new recordkeeper on 10/3/14, your January through September distributions took place through Fidelity as recordkeeper and your October through December distributions are through Great-West as your recordkeeper. You may logon to www.401k.com to verify your distribution amounts taken at Fidelity by clicking on “transaction history” or “online statement”. You may logon to www.dap401k.com to verify your distribution amounts taken at Great-West by clicking on the Account History tile, “Transaction History” or you can call the service center at 1-800-338-4015.
